GIRLS, MATH & SCIENCE PARTNERSHIP:

Register!

Our Mission and Vision:

GMSP acts as a catalyst of change to ensure that girls are represented equitably in the science and technology workforce. Through mentorship, web-based technology, community activities, and onsite programs, GMSP engages girls ages 11–17 with STEM by helping them see themselves as the innovators of tomorrow.

Our vision is of a society where women are represented equitably in the science and technology workforce. Women’s contributions in science and technology will improve the immediate community and the world we live in.

Our History:

As an important outcome of a 1998 Heinz Endowments study, GMSP was created to address issues regarding girls, their participation in science, and their influence on the workforce – to think differently about what science is and who can do it. After being incubated in academia, GMSP became an official program of Carnegie Science Center in late 2005.
